Thunder98
Cloudy this morning with the shallow marine layer. NWS and WC are predicating it will be 79F. I hope they're right.
AquariusRadar
The satellite shows some surging warmer surface temps moving up and off the SoCal coast from the Baja. Looks like the inversion may be reversed in some areas. Has the fog lifted there in the beach cities?
Pn1ct0g3n
Yeah. Nice and sunny almost everywhere in the Bight zone with good visibility. A weak eddy formed near the border indicated by a shift in the wind, but the stratus deck remains well offshore.
Pn1ct0g3n
Inland areas heating up fast today, looks like it’ll be a scorcher for all but the immediate coast. Even the beaches could see upper 70s to near 80, depending on how exposed your coastline is. Santa Monica reporting 79, actually quite a feat for them if it’s on the pier. Malibu still struggles to break out of the 60s, it’s the lone outlier.

Thunder98
It’s 76F now! Which is a heat wave by 2021 standards.
Pn1ct0g3n
Hey hey, we reached 77F on the corner here! The breeze is starting to kick in though and it looks like it’s back to 76. Usually our high happens around noon if not earlier because we’re so close to the water on a very exposed coast. 97 in Anaheim! Downright toasty anywhere more than 5 miles or so from the water. Phil
Euro seasonal is out. Doesn’t match what I’d expect from -QBO/Niña climo. Dry in the west, cold vortex in NE-Canada. In general it’s a Tim-friendly run. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=

Been through there many times, where you take Los Osos Valley Road to go into Morro Bay and you can watch the thermometer tick down a degree every 15 seconds or so.
