Very dense fog has rolled in. The wet ground from the rain earlier doesn't help either. Today was mostly cloudy and humid after some morning light to moderate rain.

More heavy rain expected for Washington and Oregon in this USA article. Betcha the folks in Forks would like to sell some of that rain to SoCal.More rain for Forks. A few storms like those in October could certainly pay for an aqueduct; Cal water costing $750  per acre foot.

In 2010, San Diego reached 100 F on November 4 after high temperatures averaging lower than 70 F in July.

Stronger offshore today could bring some warmth to the coast. Still hoping a pattern flip can bring the rains down here 2010 style.

At 1:28 AM a very loud explosion was heard here, rattled the house. I would assume it was nearby Camp Pendleton blowing things up as usual but this was well outside of the normal time range for them (6 AM to midnight).

A dribble of high level moisture is crawling up towards SoCal from the ITCZ. If the moisture reaches the coast, a very weak trough that sets along the coast might create some interesting clouds and sunsets for the next couple of days. No rain predicted. The moisture flow is tiny compared to the modest atmospheric river washing the Oregon/Washington coast.
