GEM snow through the week.

Do you think something like 2/22/23 is in the cards? Whether it be for Seattle or Portland. If I recall models significantly underestimated QPF with that slow moving system and caught on only 12-24 hours prior to it. Airmass is sorta similar although that had a more continental flavor to it. Another similar one was 2/3/19 for us here where models significantly underplayed precip.

Fair, and it's a point I've made too (2/22/23, April 2022). However, I don't expect precip rates to be high enough, assuming the GFS verifies to see meaningful accumulations.

It was 34F overnight on 2-25-19.

It was the only model to consistently call the February 2023 setup for PDX. It still missed band 2.
