Haha, Eurasian wavebreak in the clown range! That'd put this regime on roids..I don't think the Arctic chill is going anywhere anytime soon.

Phil, what is a NAMT?  I'm not at all familiar with any of your terminology.  Please explain. Trying to learn,

Jaya

Only 2 inches for me. This has been a lame snow storm. I'm more fortunate than some others though, so I'm not going to complain about 2 inches.

I'm really surprised that's all you got

NAMT is an acronym for North American Mountain Torque. As I'm sure you know, the mountain and frictional torques are exerted on/by the planetary surface on a particular axis and, long story short, disperse energy in such a way that the spatial distribution of atmospheric mass is affected.

Here's a good paper on what I'm referring to over the Pacific domain:

Temp just skyrocketing up tonight - jumped from 34 to 39 in about 25min.

My temp dropped to my shock after falling asleep on the couch for 45min. Was 33.4, now at 32.6 and the driveway slush froze up!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

D**n what part of town are you in? Rain/snow mix again here.

Richmond, we did really well today. I always seem to have different amounts then YVR, a real micro climate one you get away from the airport.

00Z ECMWF shows lowland snow tomorrow afternoon from Everett northward and across most of Vancouver Island and lower BC.

Really? I'm...ok with that!! Perhaps that is why I have not seen a temp spike?

Probably when your balls fell into her purse?

Happens to the majority of us eventually. Thank god for this forum being a distraction from Friends marathons!

The day 16 GEFS is going nuclear with the Scandi-Eurasian wavebreak.

That's the ideal loading pattern for a -AO/weak PV down the road.
