The lows has been so unusually mild this month,The departure from average for Minimum temperatures is 11 degrees above average! These low temps in the low to mid 50's is something you see in the summertime!

Leaves coming down like crazy. 2 years ago it was so warm the trees were still losing leaves in the middle of February.

The Upper Bell Canyon camera facing west (towards Rancho Santa Margarita/Coto De Caza) has some pretty nice views of a few rays of sunshine poking through the clouds, not far from you Mr Marine Layer:

Sun has been out most of the time for the last hour or so. It's a reverse clearing.

Condensation over the last few nights have produced a lot of false .01" readings in my rain gauge. I clear them as soon as I spot and confirm them.

The Weather Channel has consistently been showing rain next week. Not heavy ,but still some weak to moderate cold storms.

Got down to 36F this morning, coldest temperature so far this winter here. Cold Santa Ana Winds blowing today like Mr Marine Layer said.

Bus was uncharacteristically on time tonight. Sunset tonight is about 2 minutes later than December 4.

Barometer is at 30.30" right now (elevation 1240 ft), highest I've seen at my station in a long time.

Temperature just jumped from 36F to 44F in the last 20 minutes at my station. Rare for that to happen, seems to be caused by light (warmer) winds now passing through.

 

Seems to have happened to the nearby Murrieta station as well, they jumped from 40F to 45F; however Temecula just south of us has been much warmer the entire night around 52F.

Look at the 7 day forecast, looks like some beneficial moderate storms for this weekend and early next week as of right now. No super big storms nor warm weather for a while.

Winds are starting to calm here. Lot of tree branches and other debris on the roads. Interesting that we had almost no wind here yesterday when most of Southern California was getting it, but we had strong winds today while most other areas are already done with it.

Looked a lot like a dry front passing over us today. The evening cleared out however and the sunset is at 4:45 PM tonight where it hasn't been since November 20.

Lots of model disagreement for next week, but it looks like we should get some rain at times.

Last full day of astronomical fall today, although tomorrow could be also considered a full day (in terms of daylight hours) considering that Winter Solstice is after the sunset.
