Thunder98
Went up to a nice, but windy 76F today. Dew points are usually high today for no reason as well.
Pn1ct0g3n
Despite an unseasonably chilly Pacific, there’s hardly any marine stratus in sight from Oregon to the Mexican border!

Pn1ct0g3n
Well defined “stratocane” near San Clemente Island this morning. And some of that haze looks like it could be smoke from the French Fire.

Pn1ct0g3n
Much hotter inland today, so I’m not surprised to see a bit of heatwave fog creeping in. Sea breeze really kicked in hard today. Meanwhile, the southerly surge is about to arrive in Monterey. It’s 80 there now. Let’s see where it’s at in an hour or two.

Anti Marine Layer
Tip of your shadow pretty much traces out a straight line today. After today it will be a positively tilted hyperbola. For the last 6 months, it was a negatively tilted hyperbola. On the equinoxes, the sun rises due East and sets due West. This is not perfect, of course, due to things like solar refraction and declination changing throughout the day, but it's close enough.
Pn1ct0g3n
I sit just a hair below the 34th parallel so the sun should rise to just about 56° today then.
