The marine layer this year has been extremely spotty for the central coast, unlike last year where it was so stubborn.

Only 83F today, a nice relief. 
Lenticular clouds (I believe) were present over some of the eastern mountain ranges today. Mostly over the San Bernardino Mountains and Agua Tibia Range.

Staying quite breezy well after sunset. Overnight lows to dip quite a bit so you might need that comforter again.

The monsoon is already looking well underway with thundery action from Tucson all the way up to Montana. Always a welcome sight!

52F this morning, coolest low here since May 27th.

Looks like a repeat of yesterday — near average at the beaches,  on the cool side inland despite the sunny skies. And breezier than usual. Humidity is also down so it cools off more at night.

Coyote Fire seems to be under control in Hollywood Hills. Hopefully this year will not be 3 straight months of brown skies and entire towns burning up.
