This would be my first big AR storm since moving here to Eugene full-time. I'm lucky to be up on a hill with no flooding concerns. I thought for sure the models would turn dry after I cleaned out all my rain gutters today in anticipation, but the 00z GFS is the wettest yet.

Somehow on this basically clear evening in most places its been raining at SEA for quite a long time from a stationary cell right over the airport.

Pretty good chance this pattern will continue to evolve with the suppressive aspect relenting a bit more with the trend to deemphasize the high latitude blocking.

Yeah, that’s a pretty bigtime run for rainfall. Was hoping for more active weather models have been advertising wild precip totals. Not quite so wet in Washington but still well on our way to an above average November.

Good lord that would be a lot of rain and really bad for the central and north Willamette Valley. We are higher up here so less flooding at 500 ft.
