Ridge looks farther east and less amplified than the 12Z run to me... at least after day 7.

Yea the track this one is taking I've seen fail many times because of dry air.

It's pretty easy to see if that trend continues to dig the central Pacific trough further west that the offshore ridge could setup favorably enough for at least a backdoor shot. This is getting mighty interesting as we close out 2024. 00z ECMWF in 54 minutes
