Sure we can laugh, But i have seen things like this pan out here. Rare but it has happened before. Intense precip rates dragging the snow level down.

The NAM has been overdoing it the entire time.

One thing working in favor of wind this evening and increasing confidence it won't bust like so many storms recently have -- The wind speed isn't relying on models nailing the specific track of the low pressure system. Instead wind will be driven largely by the 1032mb high building North up the Coast of Oregon while the relatively weak low moves into Vancouver Island. This creates a broader more large scale pressure rise across the area rather than a small tight gradient where a small wiggle in track makes a huge wind speed difference.

Increased to 0.3" with a 39/33 spread. Wind shows due east now, instead of SE. More precip overnight with N wind. I highly doubt we get anything more than cold rain - but even flakes in the air would be nice.
