Yes sir, that’s what Gary is thinking from my discussions with him. 60-68 day cycle with 30-35 day cycles with SW storms…he’s still working on it. He has discussed with me that the California storms in the 30-35 harmonic cycle would return the last 1/3 of Dec. into Jan. He showed two phases of this year’s LRC which did not include NW flow part of the pattern, which it appears that’s what we have had for the last 7-10 days and more to come as the clipper parade looks healthy again this week. This’s morning’s GFS showed true winter for all come DEC. 20th, I know, in fantasy land.

Looking like a quick 2-3 4? on the front end to dry/slot rain and then a little snow on the backside. Better than nothing. GFS would need a miracle win for SMI for something more. But it is a major outlier at this point. The ICON did slide south about 20 miles... NAM is juicy for everyone but 40 hours out I don't trust it. Really just going to depend on how much low level warmth can push north. The faster the system moves might be better for everyone.

Pretty decent amount of rain this week but I’d say we’ve seen some equally impressive rainfalls in the past few years. In December 2019 we had about 4” in ~24 hours in the bullseye of that big AR. This one in the direct bullseye which seems to be inbetween centralia and kelso will probably be similar to that…maybe slightly less and over a longer timeframe. Still a lot of rain.
