Yeah, it was also kind of hit or miss around here. There were a couple corridors of higher winds in the LOT cwa based on damage reports and observations. Midway Airport was in between and only gusted to 37 mph.

Below normal temperatures are likely for the foreseeable future. We also turn wetter with rain chances increasing tomorrow morning and especially tomorrow night. Each day trends a bit chillier through the upcoming weekend with highs by Saturday around 15 degrees below normal for the start of May.
Crazy how localized it was. I got a slight breeze/gust of around 25mph. Just north a few miles is where the 61mph was recorded and a tree fell and killed a man.
