Well storms formed over me. Heard thunder and had drops falling on 3 occasions. But ended this system with .02 rain. This could've been a $30k rain but it didnt happen. Since may 25th my area missed to nw, ne, east, south and sw. After a nice rainy April and May. Bang its gone! Late May and early June is climatologically the wettest time of the year. But in 2023 and 2024 almost zero rain in that timeframe.
Since May 25th .31"
Since June 1st .20
Im not taking pictures of the 300 plus burned up acres we mow. But I suspect this we last into Sept or Oct again, like most summers since 2012. I know the 1930s were dry and the 1950s were very dry growing seasons. But this seems to never change back to 60 year averages.
This would be a snowstorm during winter. Cold Arctic air in place as the system would pull in cold air via the Columbia Basin as it moves onshore. This is a classic winter time snowstorm setup. It’s wild seeing this in summer.
