We liked this dramatic change of weather TOO MUCH for you. Not sure you'll ever be ok with other people's feelings about weather.8 points

Im 62 in a couple months and planning to go to 65. I could probably retire and make my money last but it’s a surprisingly difficult decision (for me anyway) to stop the income and start drawing on my 401k.8 points

Gorgeous day. Was up in the Seattle area earlier. Giving my best friend and his wife a ride to Sea-Tac. They will be going to New York and DC this week. Great day to drive up I-5 with the mountains popping. Had enough time afterward to check out a nice park along the Green River near Kent before heading back south. Temps were in the mid-60s with breezy conditions and very dry air.8 points

Finally got back from my big retirement/eclipse trip last night, feels great and weird to be retired now! Worked my a*s off from my mid 20s-low 50s, and the last few years I've been working some because I can and not because I need to, but now it's time to relax and retire. And now I have a lot of time for model riding! Got to see a lot of beautiful redrock canyons and snowy mountains in Utah/Wyoming on this trip. We had pretty great weather the whole time, only got hit by a storm while we were in Wyoming, and saw some epic thunderstorms the night following the eclipse.6 points

Drove out to Ocean Shores to see family today. Amazing summer like drive and being out on the Jetty when the front rolled in was a memorable experience. We really need to do a coastal meetup when we get the next decadal storm.5 points

Wow! One of the craziest shifts from strong offshore flow to strong onshore flow I've seen. Nearly 20 degree plunge already at Shelton in the middle of the day and strong SW winds here after east all day. Nice 850mb plunge with this as well.5 points

I would be checking the barometer. Just too many experiences as a kid in the Rockies of a warm spring day followed by plummeting temperatures not to get suspicious of a warm day this early in the season. Especially warmth with increasing clouds like I am seeing today.5 points

14 days til I go on another cruise. Got $200 onboard credit from them smacking me with a door on the last cruise and when we registered our info they gave me another $600 in onboard credit as a casino package but I can still use it for drinks and such. Leaving out of NOLA this time.5 points

Great Spring day. A little something for everyone that should minimize complaints on this forum, one would think!4 points

68.5F outside and clear. Perfect day. The east wind was blowing in the morning, just enough to blow our blackout curtains and get us up but not too early. We went to Moscow, and enjoyed the sunshine, Moscow bagel, some ice cream from Panhandle Cone and Coffee, and enjoyed the placid weather. SW Windstorm is coming tonight. Just a slight breeze at the moment though.4 points

I wouldn't be checking that... just feels like a day that would be nice until the end if you had no internet access.4 points

We are in the same boat. I'm coming up on 62 as well and have a decent nest egg. As well as investing financially, I have also been investing in my health through a longevity clinic. I have seen tremendous results over the years in doing so but it doesn't come cheap. Based upon my current health I see no reason why I won't live deep into my 90s. If you forecast inflation out over 30 years of essentially being on a fixed income that decent nest egg doesn't look that robust anymore. Right now I'm thinking retirement at 67 but will revisit that decision along the way. Then again, who knows? The way things are going in this world right now maybe maybe money will become irrelevant. I sure hope that is not the case though.4 points

I’m 47…Don’t think there will be such a thing as a retirement age by the time I get into my 60’s. Still hoping for that elusive January 1950 redux at some point before I’m dead however!4 points

Some of these really sharp cold fronts have pretty limited moisture. I got more like a tenth here.3 points

Eh. Today will go on the books as another very warm day. Tomorrow barely gets us to average then it’s back to more ridging. Followed by another “troughy” period that’s getting more toned down by the day. Today was fun, but it would be more exciting if it were a longer lasting crash to significantly colder or wet weather. Just my opinion.3 points

Mom and I went to get my car's engine replaced today. At the start of the appt it was 73F and slightly breezy with mostly sunny skies. By the end it was 55F and cloudy with drizzle, and gusts of wind blowing dust into our eyes. Love the meatyorology today.3 points

It's such a trip. I was in Anchorage early last July and it's so bright even at 2-3AM.3 points

Nice that will be fun! I’m going on an Alaskan Cruise in about 2 months. It will be pretty cool to witness the long days up there since I’ll be going right after the summer solstice.3 points

Cool temperatures this weekend hopefully I can avoid any frost Sunday morning as temps may dip into the mid 30s. Later next week one of the stronger storms in this year's LRC will likely ignite a major sever weather outbreak across the middle of the country. Models are already showing significant amounts of rain in my area but it's gonna have to show me it can actually happen here in the show me state before I get to excited.3 points
