Back and forth for a good 50 miles. Roads are mostly good, glad it's SB Sunday as traffic has been light. Quote On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero. gabel23
Nice pics guys! It truly has been a unique snowstorm to say the least. This thing was an absolute beast that produced a lot of snow for a large part of the upper midwest. I went out and tried to take a pic of it but it didn't work out very well; the cloud shield has cleared my area and the moon light is creating a moon dawg!! Tom
If you're going to shovel this type of snow, I'll just start a squad that way. I must say, this round was MUCH easier. The snow ratios were prob 20:1 or better. Very fluffy, light and easy to move. I probably moved a couple tons worth of snow today off my driveway. Still have 1/4 left to go...I'll save it for tomorrow....oh ya, and a back deck that has 18-25" depths! I think 18-19" is a good bet around here. We had some intense banding that stayed put over N Cook and these added lake bands coming down the lake currently may actually top it out around 20"! Tomorrow in the daylight, the scene out here will look like something you see in Buffalo, NY with all the crazy drifts.
Tom
My Grid just bumped overnight totals from 1-3", to 2-4"! Haha, the over performing system keeps delivering....all the way till the END! Snow before 1am, then snow likely with patchy blowing snow between 1am and 3am, then patchy blowing snow and a chance of snow after 3am. Low around 10. Wind chill values as low as -3. Blustery, with a north wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
