Intriguing.

It has actually acted like what you'd normally see in the dead of winter in a full blown Nino.

So yesterday there were two really loud booms that shook the house. People around Eagle Crest, Bend, Crooked River Ranch, and Madras all reported hearing and feeling them too. I was thinking it had to be sonic booms from jets scrambling or something since it was over such a vast area. The local news here, (ktvz) reported it was fireworks. That’s impossible. People 35 miles apart heard and felt it. They think we’re all stupid and tell us that bs. On Facebook people are saying it’s sky quakes that precede earthquakes. I still think it was jets exceeding the speed of sound. Also, when I was in Portland for the winter weather meeting at Omsi, I heard the exact same sound while driving downtown. Shook the buildings. Any thoughts from any of you?

I just wish one of these months would just wash us out with 20"+ of rain. November and December will end up above average, but only by about 20% or so.
