In terms of snow, the EPS and GEFS upper levels are a bit misleading. Though they may have gotten a bit worse than yesterday, there also seems to be an increasing signal for moisture entering the area during this timeframe. Obviously even with less than impressive upper levels if the cold is decently entrenched a day or two before, everything will still fall as snow if the low doesn't track way north of us. That probably explains why the 500 MB maps on the GEFS and EPS aren't looking all that impressive but they seem to be introducing a signal for an overrunning event. As most of you remember, Feb 2021 wasn't at all impressive in the upper levels, but the cold was entrenched well enough from the last couple of days and the system tracked to our south so upper levels did not moderate that quickly and most of us saw all snow through that.
