Woah... Did not expect to see Pete fired this morning. So stoked! Hopefully we can get a fresh, young mind to come in and shake things up. I'm tired of being a mediocre, middle-of-the-pack team. We need a revamp and this is the perfect opportunity to do it. Hopefully they pick someone good.

Just think... if the Bears were able to come back down one score on Sunday against the Packers then Pete Carroll would still be the coach of the Seahawks next year.   Not making the playoffs forced this today... or they took advantage of the opportunity.

He realized that he’s just too much of a meathead to be the coach there. He would get eaten alive. DeBoer might very well end up there however.

I don’t love him as an in game coach, but losing him right before we go to the big ten would be a disaster.

Sucks but I get it, the top of the college football mountain is never going to be in Seattle unless one of our tech billionaires decides to become a college football fan.

I don't get why people are so upset with Peacock. There's a lot of good stuff on there and it's cheap. 

Just get a free trial of Sling/Youtube or maybe even Fubo so you don't miss the NBC games.

I can only wish!  Imagine Pete with NIL deals and transfer portal during his peak at USC.  We'd never get to know him as a Hawks head coach.  He'd have been competing with Saban for national titles every year.

I paid $5.99 for a trial version of Peacock when NBC was blacked out so I could watch one of the games that was only there and might have been billed once again... but it was worth $12 to have access to all the games and then will just cancel at the end of the playoffs.

Even as someone who loves to root against UW, this was a gut punch. A nightmare scenario for the Huskies. I want to see UW a worthy adversary and this is an absolutely devastating blow. We lost Chip Kelly at the peak of his powers, but at least that was to the NFL and not another college program. Also it was a different landscape, his predecessor inherited incredible talent and two years later Oregon had a Heisman winner and played in the national title game. Now we have the transfer portal where players can just dip out. I guess that QB who was coming to UW has already announced he's not after all.

Total disaster.   Hard not to feel sad about how this played out.    They probably won't even be competitive for a few years.
