Amazing how snow in the forecast loses it's ability to draw people to the forum when it's this late.  The models hint at a possible significant event in the morning.

 

Also, models aren't showing a significant event for everyone, so folks like me probably won't be affected, nor will a significant portion of the valley for that matter. So I feel like there is a reason to be skeptical/underwhelmed.

Even flakes in the air this late in the season is a victory. I saw a couple of hours of it earlier, which made me super happy. You will most likely see some flakes soon. Either stay up late or get up early.

Uggghhhh... ECMWF has warm front drizzle up here continuously from Sunday afternoon through Thursday morning now.    I suspected this was coming.     That is really depressing.

What an impressive event that was. Grants Pass does have a bit of elevation so it appears they get a bit more snow than places like Roseburg.

And south. This is pretty common in onshore events.  Shadowed badly.  East wind events are awesome here, though.  Happened a bunch last winter.

HIO to my SE is still reporting 35F.

 

Took a drive up to about 1200 ft a bit ago in North Plains, nice and snowy up there. Snow appeared to be sticking down to about 500-600 ft.

Picked up another inch of snow in the past hour. Ended March 23rd with 5.5", a storm total so far of 7.5". Narrowly edged out 2/18/18 for my snowiest calendar day of the season.

Southern BC is not hurting for precip or mountain snow.  That can happen any year in the spring on the dry side of the mountains.  Happens in the Midwest every spring before the green up too.

It’s all about precip intensity it seems. Things lightened up here a little and it went back to more of a mix. But the radar looks promising going forward.
