CentralNebWeather
I scooped a couple of times. Probably going to be about 3” or so when it ends is my guess
bud2380
It’s been snowing all day in southern Iowa and doesn’t look like it’s letting up anytime soon. I see a 4.5” report. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 6” report somewhere by the time all is said and done.
Grizzcoat
Just about 1/2" here on the South side of DSM. Nothing to be proud of, but it was basically not forecasted and has changed the scenery-- until it evaporates tomorrow. Minny_Weather
Down to light pixie dust now. Went out and took too many measurements to count. I only measured open areas, this doesn't count North or South-sloped areas or drifts. Minimum: 2"Maximum: 5" Average between all of them: ~2.9" For shits and giggles, the highest drift I measured was 9". Maybe we'll squeeze out another tenth of an inch, but we'll see. The airport likely got less as always. There's some sort of snow repelling dome on that side of Lincoln, I swear. Their measurements are never representative of what most of Lincoln actually gets. 20.3*F. 1 Quote Formerly *ahem*: LNK_Weather, TOL_Weather, FAR_Weather, MSP_Weather, IMoveALot_Weather. Hawkeye
There's a report of near 7 inches just west of Ottumwa. Wow, that band really snuck up and overperformed. clintbeed1993
I'm sorry but 2 inches is not advisory level snows. And most places in the advisory only got about an inch. Grass is showing in GI but I'm supposed to believe that's worthy of an advisory? The point is the NWS seems to be issuing more and more headlines that are unnecessary. This goes for Watches and Warnings for thunderstorms as well. Just a trend I've noticed in recent years.

Bryan1117
Congrats to the winners! I enjoyed my quarter inch lol.We had a right around an inch of snow yesterday south of the county line in the Millard/Chalco area. When we traveled north into the city of Omaha this morning, there was definitely a pretty decent cut off from appreciable snow to more of just a dusting type snow. It was a nice surprise snow and provided some needed “mood flakes.”
