I did some research and found that they tried planting the same tree in one or more of their Colorado locations. Lol. I applaud this type of climate change experimentation, though. I'm trying to push boundaries by planting hardiness zone 4b plants here in the Hebgen Basin.

Last night temps dipped to 14F. Legit cold for December in Providence. Looks like we continue the cold theme for the next week, but no real snow chances to speak of. Maybe we can get something on the 12-13th, but I'm sure we'll get screwed somehow. I'm hearing a lot of whispers of December 1989 on the American Forums. Was a great month for cold, but absolutely no snow for SNE. Phil and Chuck might score a few minor hits with the supressed storm track.

This pattern is giving me 13/14 flashbacks which was a complete nightmare in the central plains. Every single system missed to the north and east. It was endless clippers which buried the great lakes. Hope this isn't a repeat of that all winter. It was also frigid. I can't think of a worse combo than frigid and dry.
