It's a desert. 3 years ago they did not reach 100 F until June 30, which was the latest ever. Downtown LA had the 13th coolest average high on record for the month of June 2023. For the first half of the month it was flirting with the coldest average high ever for June since data started in 1877.

My kid turns 3 in a couple of weeks and has never seen snow. I’ll take what I can get. Temp is borderline anyways, it’s all precip driven

ICON almost never shows any snow. Interesting

Intense precip rates might be the issue. Top image is ECMWF for right now. Precip this afternoon is way more intense than what it shows for Friday when the upper levels are colder and other models show snow.
