gabel23
Interesting write-up by OAX, yes they do happen! This will create widespread near blizzard conditions, and when combined with a few inches of snow, will createwidespread hazardous travel conditions. In addition, it`s calvingseason, and the early spring storm may have a significant impacton agricultural operations. Thus, we will issue a winter stormwatch for most of our NE counties, for snow 3 to 6 inches, andwinds 35 to 50 mph. Snow should be winding down Saturdayafternoon, and over altogether by Saturday evening as windsdiminish.
St Paul Storm
MPX posting a watch soon for the TC. 8-12” with up to 0.2” of ice, blizzard conditions possible mainly in W MN. Possible power outages and nearly impossible travel. Rather strongly worded

Minny_Weather
Thinking OAX will go blizz watch North of the 30. They seem pretty bought into this. Edit: Jk they went WSW. Minny_Weather
Actually surprised OAX included Seward County in the watch. CentralNebWeather
This storm has the potential to be the biggest storm of the season, in April no less. With heavy wet snow and winds that Hastings said in their disco could reach 60 mph, this could result in power outages, road closures, and problems for farmers that are in calving season. Minny_Weather
This is the exact reason why I didn't support the elimination of blizzard watches. Now we're seeing Winter Storm Watches for 3" of snow but with blizzard conditions. Winter Storm Watches used to have pretty solid criteria, but that's down the drain now. Like I said earlier, it'll only take an inch or two of snow with this system to cause a mess. Power outages, fatal accidents, etc. I'm stocking up on firewood tomorrow. 3 Quote Formerly *ahem*: LNK_Weather, TOL_Weather, FAR_Weather, MSP_Weather, IMoveALot_Weather. I never understood this at all. Also Blizzard Watch would really get the general public’s attention.

hlcater
If I had to chose the consistently too fast GFS and the rest of guidance, I’m probably gonna pick the rest of guidance. The fact that it reverted to what it had and has been wavering a decent bit makes me even less confident in it.
