Reg
Had some heavier showers move through here just now as a result of a stationary cluster of rain right above my part of the valley. 1.09"
Reg
The band of rain that was parked over my neighborhood for an hour and a half seems to have moved on, leaving me with 1.11" for the day. I like how NWS LA/Oxnard has been using the exact same picture of freeway traffic for every storm so far this season, the old tan Honda Accord with the 80s pop-up headlights sticks out to me:
Reg
Foggy here all of a sudden. Streets are still wet from another light shower that came through here an hour ago which produced another .01".

Anti Marine Layer
Sunsets getting later now at our latitude, although it was by less than a second today. Still a nice change from over 5 months of getting earlier. It's the first sign of longer days ahead.
Reg
Still some patches of snow up on Palomar Mountain (6120'). Looks like it didn't all melt during the last storm.
Anti Marine Layer
Back to the pattern of high clouds and filtered sunshine between storms. Looks like next storm will finally hit Northern California harder than Southern California.

Reg
Dark skies today. An early wave of rain is hitting Orange County, although the NWS says it's not as bad as it looks on radar and that some of the rain falling is evaporating before it reaches the ground. They did update today's forecast to include chances of light rain this afternoon/evening, however.
Reg
Rain started right after getting into my car to go to the store half an hour ago. 0.04" and rising now, heavy at times.

Reg
NWS San Diego says more showers are developing near SoCal tonight, moving east. Hasn't been any rain in the area since around 5 PM, but looks like most inland parts of Southern California all received about the same amount of rain earlier today (up to 0.1"). Also apparently the upcoming storm will start with very high snow levels, between 9000 and 10000 feet before lowering to 6500-7000 feet by Sunday night. Anti Marine Layer
Temperatures are in the low 60s this morning, which is more like early June than December.
Anti Marine Layer
Sunrise about 48 seconds later than yesterday this morning and sunset about 4 seconds later. The amazing thing is that sunrise is still getting later at a higher rate than on the Fall Equinox, when it was about 41 seconds later every morning. Anti Marine Layer
Storm was an under-performer, but was never expected to be that big in the first place. It did hit Nor Cal hard, which needed it the most.
Reg
Sunny skies here today for the first time in days. But looks like more rain is headed this way on radar, I don't expect much from it.
Reg
Getting dark and cloudy again as another batch of rain approaches the area. Took a long time for the barometer to drop over the past 48 hours.
Reg
This was a strange weekend, precipitation totals varied quite a bit even between close distances. My home and French Valley both only got 0.17" while Temecula was 3x+ wetter to the south, same with Lake Elsinore to our north.
Reg
Just me here today. Now that our weather has returned to being inactive for a while, I'm not surprised. It's a long shot, but from NWS San Diego's forecast discussion: A weak ridge will likely build early next week followed by a stronger trough that may bring precipitation late next week. Anti Marine Layer
Sunny morning with the Winter Solstice just 11 days away. Looks like more rain for Northern California today, but just a lot of high clouds down here.

Reg
I love it when the NWS San Diego mets show humor: The eastern Pacific is chaotic andthe jet stream is not a solid driver of systems at this time. Mostguidance including ensembles shows some attempt to bring in anoverall wet pattern later next week, but the attempts of anyindividual systems to bring us meaningful rain are not convincing.Case in point, yesterday GFS was dry, Euro was wet. Today? GFS iswet, Euro is dry. We pulled out the broad brush to indicate somechances of the wet stuff late Wednesday into Thursday.
