Nope, it would be very unlikely any regular visitor could've gotten past security with that, plus there's secret service in every room from what I've heard. Many are saying it's 99.9% chance it's who we all suspect it is..... Joe's crackhead son, someone with security clearance. The only people who get to bypass security at that level are immediate first family members. And the original story for two days was that it was found in the library, but the media and White House are in cover-up mode and are now saying it was discovered in The West Wing. They should have drug tested everyone of the press corps etc there, and they could go through security camera footage (every room likely has security cameras) to see who planted it, but they would never do that! Remember, Hunter got thrown out of the Navy for testing positive for cocaine!

Who is saying that?  FFS you are the absolute worst.

I am frankly at a loss to understand how they could screen all visitors for cocaine and other controlled substances. What are they going to do, strip search everyone? Screening for weapons, I can understand: virtually all of them contain metal so can be screened for with a metal detector. But a metal detector can’t detect a little baggie of blow.

And even if it was Hunter, so what? He is a private citizen. Biden is not like the former guy and has not been appointing his relatives and in-laws to cushy government jobs for which they have no qualifications.

It's called clown range for a reason.

They could use drug sniffing dogs and cavity searches

You’re right, they could. But what would be the point? It’s not as if visitors possessing modest amounts of illicit drugs is any sort of security risk, like weapons and explosives are. I can see screening for the latter. But not the former.

The problem is that someone could drug an important decision maker, or attempt blackmail.

How? Forcing them to snort a line?

You can ingest cocaine in lots of ways. But I’m speaking more to drugs in general. Someone sneaking in a research chemical that causes dissociative hallucinations doesn’t mix well with the nuclear football. The probability is low but the implications are dire.

At this point, I am sure the interns and staffers inside do more drugs than people on the outside.  It keeps them from blowing their brains out.

Whatever the case is, mountains out of molehills.

This stash of coke, however, really does appear to have been brought in by a visitor, given that it was found in an area used by visitors to store their personal belongings prior to starting tours.

It will in turn harm all of us, I once saw an article (Can't remember the link) That said that people may not stop using this when started until the CO2 and temperature is lowered to desired levels by the SO2.

I just got my information from someone who has visited and he says they do have drug sniffing dogs, but I don't know how much or how they use them. Also sounds like Hunter was there just before or even when it was discovered. I guess it's not a big deal cuz nothing much will happen to Hunter anyway, but if this would have occurred during a Trump White House it'd be wall to wall news coverage.

Those were probably bomb sniffing dogs. The dogs look the same. It’s hard to tell.

It's a good thing millions among millions of people have proven this list to be wrong.

Keep that tinfoil hat on tight.

Nope, I know 1 person who has proven the "Myocarditis/Pericarditis" one, and another who has proven the "Pregnancy and birth effects" one

Also there's plenty of doctors who have refused to get the vaccine, and while they were heroes in 2020, they're now considered villains by some people on the far left, mainly those who still wear masks outside when exercising and try to stay home as much as possible even though they've been vaccinated and are up to date on all their boosters

I live in a neighbourhood that sends actual SOCIALISTS to parliament (both national and provincial), and anyone wearing a mask outdoors these days sticks out like a sore thumb.

It really sounds like some here need to break out of the right-wing echo chamber. Their descriptions of leftists bear little or no resemblance to what actual leftists actually do.

And one can say the same things about big cities. No, I don’t have to step over piles of human poop on the sidewalk as soon as I walk out the door. I don’t live in constant fear of getting mugged. (And yes, the Canadian right is as into fear-mongering about big cities as the US right is. Their descriptions of Vancouver are very disconnected from my personal experiences as a resident.)

1.). Listening to an anecdote from you on the COVID vaccine is like listening to the tobacco industry in the 60s and 70s when they said tobacco caused no harm while literally everything in the medical literature said otherwise.  Except I understand why tobacco would do it ($$).  No idea why these vaccine myths continue to this day.  Who does it benefit?

2.) Assuming what you/your friend is saying is true and they did have those things after getting the vaccine, correlation still does not equal causation.

You don't believe anything from any right-wing media source, even if it's backed up by evidence or references. It's all "fake news" to you, just like Trump calls CNN "fake news". To you they're all spambots.

The first case happened with someone at my church, as I have said here before, and the second one happened with my brother's friend from Germany. You can't absolutely prove the vaccine caused it but neither can it be proven that the vaccine did not cause it.

Lol.  So now your confirmation bias anecdotes should be treated like journalism?  What?

Not exactly a big surprise. In fact, some months ago I speculated it had happened. Probably figured into Putin’s decision not to use nukes.

There is a very slight risk of adverse side effects with every vaccine.  Nothing new.  What's the alternative?

There is a reason why it is the absolute best time to be alive in the history of humanity.  Vaccines are a very large part of that.

There are always people who are allergic to the vaccine, or their bodies rejected it.

That's why before ever getting a vaccine, there is a form you have to fill out informing you of possible allergy interactions.

But above all, life is a risk.  Play the odds game and move on.
