Tom
@ Nebraska folks, how have the recent rains impacted the farming community and overall look out that way??? Is the vegetation green and growing??? Just curious to know if things are turning around quickly. Next month looks real wet in the general area across the Plains. The summer is forecast to be a very good growing season.
NEJeremy
Everything is real green here in Omaha at least. I think we've had probably 3+" of moisture the last week or two. My lawn already needs to be mowed and most of the houses in my neighborhood have already mowed their yards. I'm just lazy! Trees are all getting leaves and lots of flower around. Today doesn't feel like spring though!
Geos
Warming up a little with a bit of sun trying to break through. Had a some duration thunderstorm here in Racine after 1:30, but no hail. Hawkeye
Only 1.10" of rain here over the last four days, well below what was expected. That's ok, though, because we got 4.5" a couple weeks ago and the grass is very green. East Dubzz
Finished with 1.31" here over the past couple days. Like Hawkeye said, not quite what was expected, but still a good amount of rain and quite a bit for this month.

Is the vegetation green and growing??? Just curious to know if things are turning around quickly. Next month looks real wet in the general area across the Plains. The summer is forecast to be a very good growing season.I have had 3.4" of rain in the past week. If you go back a couple weeks ago and add in the snow/rain we received I'm at or just above 5" for the month of April. Much needed; grass is green and growing fast. Once the warmth sets in things will take off. We are still running behind in precip but we have seen much needed moisture and I hope it continues into May!
