Tom
Mid/Late next week is looking rather chilly. GFS/GGEM/EURO all on board with cool air filtering into the region. This week will probably go down as the best 7 day stretch of weather thus far this Spring. At least the region will enjoy some more warmth Sun/Mon before the cool air comes down from Canada. 00z Euro tugs some really chilly air into the upper 40's/low 50's next Sunday. That would equate to 15-20 degree's below normal. The transient weather pattern continues.

Steblow
yeah as most thought a pretty meh spring carries on for any sustainded warmth but that can be the case many yrs this time and we're in a tough to crack below normal pattern until it proven otherwise. I feel like a real coooler by the lake pattern setting in to close spring out. Time is getting pretty close to being cooked for some snow on the tulnips this spring. Before we know it the days will be starting to lose light to ole man winter.

WildWisconsinWeather
It is far from hype, it is quite likely Milwaukee and many other cities in the region are on the verge of seven straight below average months. That rarely happens these days.
Geos
These cool shots have been over played in the models. I wouldn't be surprised if the cold shot in 7 days remains a fantasy. Looks like some highs in the 60s next week, but that's pretty normal for mid May. High 74° today. Was a A+ spring day. Little t-storm action followed by warm and drier air. Few pictures I took on a short walk through the woods outside of Kenosha yesterday. 2 Quote Mercer Island, 350 ft 2021-2022: 11.6", 02/21 2020-2021: 15.6" 2019-2020: ~10" 2018-2019 winter snowfall total: 29.5" 2017-2018: 9.0", 2016-2017: 14.0"

Geos
High 73° today. Perfect day to be outside. MJO is in the cool phases now, but it isn't cool in the expected places. It loses amplitude and collapses pretty soon, so having any kind of deep trough might be out of the equation for the 7-10 day range. 1 Quote Mercer Island, 350 ft 2021-2022: 11.6", 02/21 2020-2021: 15.6" 2019-2020: ~10" 2018-2019 winter snowfall total: 29.5" 2017-2018: 9.0", 2016-2017: 14.0"
