The only above-average temperature spell of the entire year so far has occurred over the past three weeks here.

My new window air conditioner was installed yesterday so now the rest of the summer should be at least somewhat tolerable.

Marine layer?? There has been monsoon moisture the last couple of days, but no marine layer to speak of, except possibly along and near the coast. There weren't any low clouds here in Orange yesterday morning even as early as 9 am.

Yes, but it was a muggy marine layer.
