Today's runs are more endless disappointment

There are multiple end of year exercise and training events for both the Washington and Oregon air national guard with some joint stuff from the navy and army. Also if you had an inversion or a low cloud ceiling, you could have heard the firework echo back at a lower frequency, giving it a bit of base. In the Everett area we get the same problems from a gun range on Ebey island and jet testing at Paine Field, both can sound apocalyptic and leave you running to Google to see if the rapture happened. If folks were feeling intrepid, looking for evidence of “earthquake clouds” which look like whisky sun dogs sans the sun, a change in episodic tremor activity, or RF propagation on the 10 meter band, would all be better precursors than a Sky Quake.
