HighlandExperience
This whole thing has been pretty lame so far. Less moisture than was expected overall for the most part. At least the air mass will be colder over the next couple of days so any good showers should be snow.Clear skies here at the moment. 850 temps at -6 and 925 -1 over King County. Looks like some decent showers coming in towards us in the next couple hours from the SW. Hopefully we can get a dusting !

Kayla
It's been a 70"+ winter for Kalispell.Bozeman gets chinook winds. I am guessing this is somewhat of an unusual winter for Bozeman too. While Bozeman gets higher snow #'s, it's drier snow so the SWE's aren't as good as they for Kalispell which really matters for longevity of the snow through February. December is obviously luck of the draw. I'm guessing Bozeman might have more snow cover in March just because it gets a lot more snow in March(snowy month) unlike Kalispell which gets the troughy showery pattern instead of the ULL's bozeman gets. Yeah the snowfall totals have been abut average this year in Bozeman but the longevity of the snowpack was quite impressive as it was in many areas in the PNW this past season. It definitely wouldn't surprise me to see the region put up some big snow numbers over the next couple of months as the jet stream shifts north after a prolonged season of a very suppressed jet while still having an above average cold source. VancouverIslandSouth
Yea, south and east. The euro isn't perfect with those surface maps either. Yep, a pretty disappointing event so far, there was some really heavy stuff falling for several hours within sight to the south of here but nothing made it north then it all shifted east. I still suspect we will wake up to a bit of snow cover tomorrow, there will be some trailing showers working their way down the Juan de Fuca that could bring brief heavy snow.
