Thunderstorm with anvil crawlers in Austria

Heavy thunderstorm passed Metnitz (Austria) in the Alps. Lots of flashes, lightning bolts but also anvil crawlers. A tree is struck by lightning, prompting firefighters to be called to the scene (fire). The thunderstorm is also filmed with drone DJI Mini 2.

I love thunderstorms, but I've never experienced one in the mountains! Always look forward to thunderstorm season in the Midwest and I couldn't imagine living in areas where they rarely occur, for example, near the U.S. west coast. Thanks for sharing.

You would definitely hate it here if you like interesting weather.

Speaking of which, I had the luck of experiencing a cluster of thunderstorms in the Vosges mountains in France.  I saw the lightning coming closer to my side of the range, and by the time it crested over, I was getting hailed on.  It was so much fun.

I experienced a big thunderstorm in the Swiss Alps.  Made me feel so small and vulnerable. It was like the world was exploding!  Very cool.
