The last El Nino was a lot different for us, December was quite active. I remember reading that a stronger Nino actually led to a more active early winter (at least for the mountains and for where I live) than a weaker El Nino. I think Cliff Mass talked about that. But overall I support a healthy social safety net, I would be happier to pay higher rates in taxes if I knew that there would be limited regulation if I wanted to start a small business, and that if my money would be going to provide health care, support people in need, or build infrastructure as opposed to helping pay the $1 million a year in retirement benefits to a retired football coach...
