MossMan
Was sunny, cloudy, and raining when I took this pic a bit ago. Used to be a lot of work at the golf course to clean up all of the cedar shedding. The non shedding parts of the branches are brilliant green and look awesome. Frontal Snowsquall
Anyone on here would have been fine with 1985, at least in the Seattle area. In spite of being November it remains the best month I have seen here. Some places had 12 consecutive max temps of freezing or below and pretty much everywhere had 10 out of 12. Two major snowstorms in there and snow on the ground for two straight weeks.Yeah, that's the Granddaddy of all November Arctic Blast in recent memory. I would take that in a heartbeat. Olympia got down to 0 on the 22nd and 23rd. Down here in Oregon, I know Seneca got down to -31. Very impressive frigid temperatures for November. Kayla
That's pretty wild. Is this looking colder for you than the last trough?Way colder. 700mb temps only bottomed out around -11 to -12C with the last one. For reference for those that don’t know, 700mb temps here are equivalent to 850mb temps for the PNW lowlands. So it’s a very chilly trough for anytime of the year. 3 Quote Cold Season 2023/24: Total snowfall: 26" Highest daily snowfall: 5" Deepest snow depth: 12" Coldest daily high: -20ºF Coldest daily low: -42ºF Number of subzero days: 5 Personal Weather Station on Wunderground: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMTBOZEM152#history

BLI snowman
Looks like a somewhat milder version of the 1985 trough which hit around 10/8-9. Similar trajectory to the 2008 trough which came through on these same dates. Pretty decent record low potential for Thursday and Friday.
