12/26 - 12/27 Potential Winter Storm

That is terrible.  Looks like the snow to your west is primarily moving to the northeast.  You might get the back end of it if you are lucky, but I know that is no consolation.  I feel your pain, definitely have missed many storms the last several years here in Central Nebraska.

I've heard the interstate is really bad out by York, a miss by about 50 miles. But I agree, it does look like it is primarily moving due northeast.

Not missing much tbh.  Really light and small grainy flakes.  Struggling to even get 1 inch.

I'm in Aurora right now.  Snow has been pretty light with a few periods of moderate snow and some bigger flakes.  Probably a little over an inch here.

Looking at the OAX radar it seems the snow is trying to fill in over east central NE. More 20dbz returns filling in between Columbus and Omaha.

Looking at radar estimates we were right in the heart of the heaviest band. Nothing heavy widespread but a solid 5.5 inches here. Radar estimate is over .3 inches qpf

Huh? If you mean ok because it is even going to snow, than yes, however even here it is only a 30% of snow on Monday. If you mean by amounts, than no. Nothing more than a little fluff with the arctic surge. Won't amount to more than 1/2-1" here. Which will go nicely with the dusting we had last night- maybe 1/4". Let's flip the calendar already and see what January will do!

The last storm trended SE and weaker, this storm trended NW, both trended away from MKE.  I am starting to wonder if we're just cursed here this year (and last year we were stuck in the middle of systems a lot as well).
