Yes. By far the worst thing about Western Montana, you can get stuck in weeks on end of gloom/inversion. There are some really good weather patterns in the winter up there, and some really bad ones.

The lack of mountains is a huge factor of what discourages me from living in an amazing climate like NH/Maine, that and family stuff.

1924-25 is also a great PDO match.

January 2005 was one of my all time favourite snowstorms here. We had over 2 feet between the 6th and 8th and spent 4 consecutive days below freezing.
