Is it “mixed out” if the inversion is still present? Usually a fog bank is well below the top of an inversion. Otherwise you’d have to argue that those classic “inversion” patterns where it’s 60°F in the mountains with freezing fog in the valleys below isn’t actually an inversion. Unless I’m misunderstanding the argument being made? Because this doesn’t make sense.
