Surface pressure wise it appears we will at least get some amount of chilly weather with the coming pattern change. Certainly a break from the torture we're currently going through. -

Last December was a bit worse at Spokane. Only one below average day (the 1st). This month at least has had five negative departure days. Jan 2006 also only had one negative departure day.- 1

January 2025 Observations and Discussion.
The 18z GFS is showing 2 systems, one on the 5th and another on the 7th. It would not surprise me at all if the storm on the 7th becomes the main event. It's been common this season for the 2nd storm in the series to be the stronger storm.
