Problem with Newsom is he is the worst governor in the history of his state. They’ve lost nearly a million people during his tenure. He is also not progressive enough for rank and file dems.

My one disagreement with your analysis is blaming the “liberals:” Biden is one of the party’s centrists, not its progressives. The latter are a growing influence within the Democrats but are as of yet still a minority and do not control the party. Biden was the preferred candidate of the Establishment, centrist Democrats, who all united around him last time (which is why he won).

Four years ago there was something approaching consensus that, given his age, Biden should only serve one term then step aside. That seems to have been forgotten, alas.

Whitmer was my choice. She’s well-liked by Democrats across the board in Michigan, would have that swing state sewn up, and doesn’t have Newsom’s “California baggage.”

In the last 3 years...I blame this on all of our government

Our work force has been destroyed, small businesses are paying way more and getting way less, plus they can't staff enough

Our supply chain has been a complete disaster(I own a company and its like pulling teeth to get material and parts in a timely manner) My operation costs are up 41% in 36 months

We have 30 percent less cops in the streets(KC set and all time homicide record in 2023)

We have record credit card debt among Americans

63% of American's saving's accounts have been depleted

A record amount of early withdrawals from 401K's/other retirement funds

The middle class is going broke(already there in many cases)

Runaway inflation is still a problem

Wide open border(we have yet to see how dangerous that is, but don't worry, we'll know soon enough)

We have several wars we're either in or paying for

We have less pilots, military personnel, teachers, doctors, nurses, and just laborers all together

Very few our better off financially right now then they were 3 years ago

We have high interest rates on vehicles and homes, commercial loans, etc. Basically, unaffordable to your average American

Almost every major city is now less maintenance, the upkeep has taken a back seat as we just don't have enough folks in the workforce. Here in KC, we have turned into a really trashy curb appeal. All these cities are running wild with crime, several overran with migrants

We have all news outlets lying on just about everything and they all have their agenda to follow even if its not factual

In other words, blame who you want, argue all day long, the reality is right in front of us, the folks running this country now and that includes all government,(red and blue) have failed us and turned this country into a real dumpster fire.

Buckle up, many smoke screens coming this year and its going to get ugly.  

Watch out! Digital currency/electric cars/solar energy and the cancelation of fossil fuels along with De-arming Americans is what they want, once that is realized, they control everything!!!! Small doses at time, but, its happening

Americans better resolve their differences soon and wake up and see what our leaders are doing. Again, both sides!!!

Just this one is causing a lot of grief.  My wife was going to buy a three piece meal from KFC the other day until she saw the price has skyrocketed to an astounding $20.00!  You can blame the absurdly high minimum wages for this.  BTW another example of Democrats putting undue pressure on businesses.  Every example I can think of concerning government overreach comes from the left.

Anyway...people who are making $20.00 for a job where it isn't justified punishes everyone who has worked their butt off to get up to that wage through years of work.  It makes the prices go up for the latter group of people.  I'm really sick of how the youngest generations keep getting coddled by the Democrats.  It just feeds into their unrealistic expectations.

The bipartisan border deal is BS.  All the increased funding does is make it so they can process the illegals faster.  Just makes it easier for even more of them to get in.

I know you did not ask me, but I'd get rid of all forms of political contributions.  Each candidate for a major office gets a set amount of taxpayer funds to run on and that's it.  No lobbyists and no quid pro quo.  They are not there to fund raise for half the term.

Was just talking to my sister.  Her bold prediction is that Harris leaves the ticket and appoints Whitmer as the VP nominee, locking in Michigan.  And after winning the election, the plan would be for Biden to step down and Whitmer would become president.

Disney became a woke company. DeSantis took it up on himself to "wage war on the woke" and set his sights on Disney, among other things, thinking it would score him points with the base. Trump is just getting a shittty hand dealt to him no matter how you slice it.  Liberal judges and prosecutors are just sticking it to him no matter what.  Thankfully a lot of patriots are donating to his legal fund.  People are not ok with a corrupt justice system picking our candidates for us.

The whole thing comes down to that special carve out that Disney got several decades back.  DeSantis just simply took that preferential treatment away.  I'm sure Walt Disney would wash his hands of that company now anyway.

Term limits sounds swell, but I think our system with as much as it’s become pure theatre might need far more than that to really move the needle of accountability. I’d be more apt to change the electorate overall. If the masses gravitate more toward comprise and accountability, so will elected  officials. But we’re too in love with the cage match of it all, and they love the profitability of it.
