New Emerson poll out of Kentucky showing Republican Daniel Cameron has erased a 16 point deficit against incumbent democrat Andy Beshears. Will be a big one to watch next week. As an Andrew and someone who went by “Andy” as a child, I can tell you I cannot trust any adult who allows themselves to be called Andy.

As bad as Trump is, I'd still take him over any Democrat. They all have Christianophobia. It'd be nice to see someone else get the Republican nomination though. Democrats would have a new #1 enemy.

Very critical?  Hardly.  You do like to go back and forth but I would say with confidence you've given more compliments to Trump on here than criticisms. 

And yes, you absolutely are pushing his candidacy.  Complimenting Trump on stuff that is IMPOSSIBLE to prove (no hamas war), sarcastically talking about voting for people who aren't even in the primaries (Jeb) and flatly saying Haley would lose even though polls have her doing better than Trump in the General.

There are many Democrats that I would take over Trump. Hell, if Bernie were 20 years younger, I would actually take him despite not loving most of his ideas.

If it comes down to Trump vs. Biden, I will vote for Trump. I just hope one of those senile bags has the sense to drop out before it gets to that point.

Biden is very fortunate that the election is a year from now and not 4 days from now.  If it were this year, he'd be in serious danger of losing imo, despite all of the flaws that Trump has.  There's an added factor now with more younger people/Arab Americans being upset over Biden's support of Israel, but perhaps some of the passion on that specific issue fades a bit by November 2024... who knows.  Biden may well lose next year, but that is still pretty far away and a lot can happen between now and then.

On another note, my sister is running for office as a first time candidate and election day is this Tuesday.  The race is low-level enough that there hasn't been any polling done, but my sense is that it's gonna be close.  She's fighting a bit uphill as a Republican in an area that leans Dem, but she's done a pretty good job promoting herself and I've been surprised by some of the people she's met/been endorsed by given that it's not a high-profile race.  We're going to gather on Tuesday evening to await the returns.  Should be a pretty exciting experience... obviously better if she wins.

The Pope sides with the left and their "social gospel" that the number one goal of Christians should be to purge society of racism, inequality, and all the other things the left complains about.

Nancy Pelosi is a so-called Catholic and so is Biden but they fight to the death for abortion rights considering pro-lifers to be an actual threat to society. They have the FBI spying on pro-lifers. Biden's church actually tried to deny him communion due to his support for abortion. 

However in the true Gospel, society is not the number one problem. Individual sin is the number one problem. Individuals must be redeemed and reformed, not society. It also teaches that we will never get anywhere close to perfect equality and justice in this world (as some secular humanists fantasize) because all people are sinful. As Jesus said "The poor you will always have with you".

There were already examples of people calling the new speaker a dangerous person because of his belief that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and it should influence how we live.

This is a very liberal Pope.  Many Catholics only tolerate him.  
My Dad used to say, “He won’t eat the devil, but he’ll drink his broth.”   One way of saying picking and choosing his beliefs. No true follower of his faith.

Yeah, I am not catholic, but grew up in a heavily catholic area. I know my friends do not support Pope Francis. They do tell me many of his more publicized left leaning statements are taken out of context or are him stating his personal opinion, which does not carry the same weight as speaking on specific matters of doctrine.

The Acts passage is voluntary giving. I've seen that one before. They are not being coerced to redistribute wealth by the government (to fund abortions and child mutilation surgeries) according to the ideas of a man who said religion is an opioid for the masses.

The Bible also says you shall not steal or covet what belongs to your neighbor.

Also, to be tolerant of someone (at least in the old liberal sense) you must disagree with their beliefs or lifestyle but still love and accept them, but today the hard-core LGQBT activists not only say it's intolerant to believe their lifestyle is immoral, but they also want you to celebrate them, simply because they are LGQBT, not because of their accomplishments. In the letter of Paul to the Romans it does, but nowhere in the Gospels.

It also says (in the Gospels, i.e. the word of Jesus) that wealth is a great obstacle to achieving the kingdom of Heaven, yet you don't see right-wing Christians doing much but celebrate wealth accumulation these days.

Every Christian picks and chooses the parts of the Bible to take seriously, but only the right-wing ones put up this crap line about believing it cover to cover.

You may not like it, but Christian socialism and liberation theology are every bit as much part of Christianity as whatever your pet beliefs happen to be.
