January 2021 Observations and Discussion

Yep, it was warm and wet. Since Dec. 29th, up to Jan. 31st,  I have recorded 4.24 inches of rain at my house.(big rain storm on the 29th of Dec. I'm including) I have recorded 8.1 inches of snow. (only 5 inches of that total stuck to the pavement)

If only it was a colder month......very rarely do you get wet January's like the one we just saw.  

Now, its Feb. and we appear to be heading towards a colder pattern. Now, can we get storms to go with that??? I sure hope we don't see the cold and no snow, you know how depressing that is.

My January backyard stats:

Average low: 21.4 (+7.8)   Coldest low: 7.5 (26th)

Average high: 37.2 (+3.8)   Warmest high: 54.1 (12th)

5.8 degrees above normal

1.26" (+.54") of qpf. 13.5" (+7.4") of snowfall
