Mr O was for the whole AGW agenda which I don't believe in the first place. The whole deal was structured horribly for the US showing how weak the previous administration was in negotiating. NEJeremy
It's completely assanine and makes us an outsider to basically every country in the world. Really, we're going to join Syria and Nicaragua as the countries that don't participate in this? The funny thing is there's no real absolute obligation in the accord. It's setting goals that each country wants to meet and we were aggressive in our goals to have CLEAN RENEWABLE energy. That's what the MAJORITY of this country and PLANET want. What's so wrong with that? I guess you don't think there's anything wrong with pulling out of the accord if you don't think oil and coal are dirty and are affecting the planet. We're great leaders of the world alright. Jeesh. The orangutan only wants to do this because of his boner for coal(which is never coming back) and oil and money. You think he's unpopular now, just wait until this happens. Idiot.
Tom
Redistributing our country's wealth across the the rest of the world is not smart. The idea is to keep our country's wealth inside our country. This deal would make America more weak economically and in essence would jeopardize any growth for our country. The CO2 models are flawed and our climate is in equilibrium. Not 1 oz of my body believes we are entering a period of catastrophic global warming. With renewed wealth that will be created by leaving the Paris Climate deal, advancements in technology and clean energy will be created in the near future to counter any idea that Trump's administration doesn't care about the earth's climate. I know this subject will create controversy and it will certainly be a subject of discussion for a long time.

He's just a spiteful child who has shown he knows nothing about what he's doing, (i.e healthcare because who knew it would be so complicated) other than still tweeting and signing a million executive orders. Redistributing wealth from our country? So you're saying we should be worried about the rich (the 1% like fossil fuel execs for example that have 90% of the wealth in this country already)? I'm pretty sure the Paris Accord wasn't going to affect me financially but was going to make sure my kids and grandkids had a hopefully liveable planet.I love the idea that people think Trump cares about renewable energy and a clean planet when his budget says otherwise. WBadgersW
I'm still too frustrated with him and his battle with the NPS to even think about the Paris agreement. The fact that hes even thinking about allowing oil and gas drilling in our parks is disgusting. On top of that, he cuts funding to parks that provides locals with millions from visting tourists. The warming began in the very late 70's/early 80's and has peaked a few years ago. We will begin to experience the "cooling" period over the next couple years and I think by 2020 these images/maps of arctic sea ice will be different.

jaster220
No, I'm worried about keep our jobs here and making investments in our country rather than giving other countries a "free ride". Anyway, regarding his budget, you have to take a "hair cut" to kick start the process of re-building this country and getting out of debt. I'm sure there will be a lot of private money coming into the field over the years. Correct. The US (thanks to tax incentives) has actually beaten the Paris Accord timeline on Clean Energy advancements. Reaching a goal of 10% coming via renewable (green) sources several years ahead of forecasts. The rub is in the transportation sector, where Obama wanted to push the auto industry (via carbon pollution penalties) at an unrealistic pace that would certainly cost auto worker's more jobs than have already been lost to general globalization, off-shoring trends, and overseas labor (that doesn't expect a standard of living we enjoy here in America). If you don't have any ties to that major industry, then ofc you aren't worried because that's somebody else's pain. As a nation, we've been progressive on the environmental concerns and have been reducing our carbon foot-print every year for quite some time now. The sky isn't falling, and there's no argument strong enough, or situation imminent enough, to ruin an entire industry over. Al Gore and company did everything in their power to "sound the alarm" over the potential of AGW and harm to the environment in general. As said already, imho it was way over-board. But to the extent it helped get us from the other end of the spectrum when 50 yrs ago businesses were dumping toxic waste without any regard to health or safety of the population, and governments were nuke testing left and right, it's had a positive effect. The alarm was heard, sensible and concerned people and national leaders have responded in like fashion. What we need going forward is proper perspective, balance, and a measured approach. We all want the bus to arrive for the best future possible, but we have to be careful not to run it off the cliff racing up the mountain in too hasty a fashion. 2 Winter 2023-24 Snow Total = 53.1" (90% Normal Season) Largest Storm: 12" (1/12-13) Oct: 0.1 Nov: 2.9 Dec: 7.5 Jan: 31.7 Feb: 6.0 Mar: 4.3 Apr: 0.1 Avg = 59.2" (Harrison): 2023-24 = 53.1" Avg = 45.0" (KDTW): 2022-23 = 33.5" 2021-22 = 35.6" Avg = 49.7" (KRMY): 2020-21 = 36.2" 2019-20 = 48.0" 2018-19 = 56.1" 2017-18 = 68.3" 2016-17 = 52" 2015-16 = 57.4" 2014-15 = 55.3" 2013-14 = 100.6" (coldest & snowiest in the modern record!) 2012-13 = 47.2" 2011-12 = 43.7" Legit Blizzards (high winds and dbl digit snows): Feb 2011, Dec 2009, Jan 2005, Dec 2000, Jan 1999, Mar 1998, Nov 1989, Jan 1982, Jan 1978, Jan 1977, Apr 1975, Mar 1973, Jan 1967, Feb 1965, Jan 1918
