This would be fairly decent up here... but don't trust it at all.

The GFS does not show anything like the persistent firehose flooding pattern that the ECMWF shows starting Wednesday.    But I have learned never to doubt the ECMWF surface maps.

I need the GSF to be right on this one!

Finally, a break from the rain this month!

Vampires stay in bed for a couple hours!

The rest of humanity... get outside for a couple hours.    The dark season is upon us now.

It was an historically long stretch of 70s, which is what I said. Tied with 1952 for the longest stretch of 70+ on record so late in the season.

Deleted post... misread it or you took out dry.

Also a historical stretch of cold lows for PDX.

Like I said, I can generally see the good in either. A.k.a. I’m an idiot.

Not sure about that... you did say a period of sunny fall weather was disgusting. :)

Around 4

Grand...just about the time I will be getting back home. Was really hoping to get a little yard work in. Hopefully we will catch a break tomorrow.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

The historically long stretch of sunshine and 70s mid-month might have been a good time to decorate if it was going to come down to a few dry hours the Saturday before Halloween, though. Just sayin.

Eye candy surprises for kids...need to hug it as close as I can without giving away the magic

12Z ECMWF is farther north with the warm front on Halloween afternoon and evening compared to the 00Z run.

Its shows strong south winds across the lowlands all afternoon and evening with a temp around 60 even late into the evening... it also shows rain over all of the mountains but could be some decent shadowing in the populated areas from Portland to Everett with very heavy rain even along I-5 to the north of Everett all afternoon and evening.

I am now 100% ready for the fall storms. Just finished putting the new chain on the chainsaw, the generator is serviced and fueled up, and I filled all of my gas cans. Could be a dark and spooky Halloween night! My wife is due that day as well so I’m sure I will be cutting my way out of my driveway to get to Everett. When my first daughter was born I had to tackle a snowstorm to get her there.
