Tom
My post was actually tongue-in-cheek. Every day about mid-month JB's daily vid was showing how the CFS was an utter FAIL, showing a torch Nov as late as 31-October! Thought you'd recognize my "sarc" post Ahhh, yes...Gotcha bud, ya, now I see what your saying. Sorry, I was not feeling well yesterday and my head was in the clouds. The CFSv2 def didn't see the cold coming at all which makes me wonder what may happen in December.

OKwx2k4
Interesting night. Tornadoes. :/ If weather folklore is right, should be a nice snow soon, regardless. Here's hoping for safety for everyone here tonight.

Stormy
The snow pack here is down to a crusty 4" or so with a solid cover remaining. Some of it melted the last 2 days, but it had shrunk down a lot before then. My November total snowfall = 14.2" & total precip. this mo. is exactly 4.00". Precip. so far this year is 46.72" now. Our most recent snowstorm was one of the largest I've recorded (my records begin in 1990) & likely the largest in the shortest amount of time, ( from approx. 8:30am. till 4:00pm.) & it occurred in November! But an early start to winter doesn't mean the rest of the winter will be epic.

jaster220
In the mid-20s attm, but wow did we spike to a balmy 41F under rare sunshine this pm. And yes, 7 hrs above freezing did some snow cover damage as you can imagine with the ground having been warm when the snow fell. Nonetheless, the last evening/night looking like #winter here for a while I suppose. Been a fun ride November, sorry to say farewell 1 Quote Winter 2023-24 Snow Total = 53.1" (90% Normal Season) Largest Storm: 12" (1/12-13) Oct: 0.1 Nov: 2.9 Dec: 7.5 Jan: 31.7 Feb: 6.0 Mar: 4.3 Apr: 0.1 Avg = 59.2" (Harrison): 2023-24 = 53.1" Avg = 45.0" (KDTW): 2022-23 = 33.5" 2021-22 = 35.6" Avg = 49.7" (KRMY): 2020-21 = 36.2" 2019-20 = 48.0" 2018-19 = 56.1" 2017-18 = 68.3" 2016-17 = 52" 2015-16 = 57.4" 2014-15 = 55.3" 2013-14 = 100.6" (coldest & snowiest in the modern record!) 2012-13 = 47.2" 2011-12 = 43.7" Legit Blizzards (high winds and dbl digit snows): Feb 2011, Dec 2009, Jan 2005, Dec 2000, Jan 1999, Mar 1998, Nov 1989, Jan 1982, Jan 1978, Jan 1977, Apr 1975, Mar 1973, Jan 1967, Feb 1965, Jan 1918

Minny_Weather
We limped our way into the Top 10 in terms of snowfall here. We got 7.2" over the month, which ties the amount we got in our lowest snow season on record, and is good for 9th all time in November. 1 Quote Formerly *ahem*: LNK_Weather, TOL_Weather, FAR_Weather, MSP_Weather, IMoveALot_Weather.
