Saturday... of course the ECMWF thinks there is 2-4 inches of snow on the ground in Portland and Salem at that time so take that into account.

Total snow through Saturday morning...

 

 

 

Hopefully euro delivers this time for early Friday and doesn't bait and switch us like it did for tomorrow's flurry storm. 

 

GEM, NAM and EURO in agreement that the upper level low will slide down Thursday night and give PDX some snow. GFS and ICON want to take it further south.

I could see PDX scoring something in the 34-36 range if everything works out right.

what do you think the gorge gradient should be tomorrow ?

I can imagine. But you have carved this niche out for yourself to earn your keep. Better keep it up now lest the torches and pitchforks come back.

 

Although you will probably get a break eventually since people won't care as much about the details once snow season is over.

I like our chances. As the nws mentioned about lift over the cold air, plus we have much colder/drier air now than yesterday

Seems like it could be ripping pretty good with the position of the low and the basin cold dome inland.

I think there will be. They probably lost a little yesterday, but they are going to have a pretty cold day today and then stand to add another 1-3" tomorrow morning.

Was surprised to see SLE bump all the way to 39. I figure they will find a way to maximize heating today like they always do. EUG still stuck at 31.
