Hawkeye
Much of the good rain and storms have been and will remain to our south and southeast. I was fortunate to get a brief, but nice storm overnight that dropped a little hail and 0.22" of rain. Iowa still needs a widespread good soaking, but it's not happening with this system and there are none in sight. Snowshoe
Warnings and Advisories issued by NWS GRB. Really hope that 1/4 inch of ice doesn't happen. THE AMOUNT OF ICE ACCUMULATION ON TREES AND POWER LINES WILL DEPEND HEAVILY ON THE EXACT AIR TEMPERATURE...WHICH IS STILL SOMEWHAT UNCERTAIN. AN ICE ACCUMULATION OF ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF INCH IS POSSIBLE. * SNOWFALL TOTALS SHOULD BE MAINLY IN THE 1 TO 2 INCH RANGE...WITH 3 TO 6 INCHES OF ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE IN NORTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY AND NORTHERN LANGLADE COUNTY. * GUSTY NORTH WINDS COMBINED WITH THE FREEZING RAIN COULD DOWN TREE LIMBS AND CREATE SOME POWER OUTAGES. http://forecast.weather.gov/showsigwx.php?warnzone=WIZ035&warncounty=WIC141&firewxzone=WIZ035&local_place1=&product1=Winter+Storm+Warning#.Uz2VcahdWtY Quote WISCONSIN RAPIDS Wisconsin

Tom
Looks like E NE is getting in on some decent snows that will eventually soak into the dry ground out there. Hope the Spring snow can bring the much needed nitrogen the grass needs to grow.

Hope the Spring snow can bring the much needed nitrogen the grass needs to grow.I was driving at this moment last night and it was ripping! This was the hardest drive I have taken back home from Columbus in a long time. Visibility was very poor, pretty much just in front of my car. The snow flakes were huge and just pasted everything. Snow was also accumulated on the road way a couple inches deep and made traction very poor. To top it all off my car was the only one on the high way! Thank god for rumble bars; otherwise I seriously wouldn't have known if I was on the road or not. Ended up with around 3" of snow, although if it wasn't for the melting we could have had much more than that.
