Sadly, I never was aware of his brilliance until after he had passed. Some of his routines are spot-on. As in the Middle Ages when fools were the only ones with the privilege to disrespect the monarch, comics today can get away with saying certain truths that would otherwise get one socially sanctioned. -

May 2024 Pacific Northwest Weather
Amazing last couple of days at Mount Rainier, yesterday had off and on clouds, and today was clear in the morning and has gotten cloudy as the day hass progressed, but it's still okay out. Started at paradise yesterday and climbed to 10k feet to camp for the night, and got up 3 hours before sunrise today to get sunrise at the summit, then we decended to emmons glacier to freshen up our crevasse rescue skills ahead of our Denali trip, and then climbed back up for some views and ski'd down. Staying in the area for a couple of days so that on Saturday-Sunday we can do some more training in whiteout conditions on rainier. -
