2023 Weather Forums March Madness is coming with the usual rules of me picking out 100 posters and then choosing 68 the same way as the last 2 years.

Basically I go through recent posts to find 100 members and their IDs and then generate profile links from a C# program (so I can get posts and reputation)and create a formula to rank them, after which they are matched up with colleges from the real March Madness.

Members advance throughout the tournament bracket according to how the colleges perform. You can see the last 2 years in the Off Topic.

It uses this formula.

0.5 * (Member's Posts/Most Posts in List) + 0.5 * (Member's Reputation/Highest Reputation in List)

You can find the member IDs by hovering over their names

Used to be much easier before when the old format had a ranking of members by post count, but maybe there's an SQL query admins could use to get the info.

Now a 16 seed has won 2 1 seeds bounced in the 1st weekend including the defending natty winner. The tallest team being beaten by the smallest team. A 13 over 4 upset and a 15 seed now into the sweet 16 for the 3rd straight season.

College basketball is a sport of parity.
