Concerned RI-2 may be slipping away from Republicans. That would have been a big pickup in a district Biden won by 14%

Walker behind now as DeKalb just dumped a large amount of votes. He's still behind Kemp by about 4.5%. Big number to watch is 50%, doesn't matter who gets more votes if they can't get 50%.

I can just see Trump pouting and seething in anger right now as FOX carries all of the victory speech by DeSantis.

And DeSantis is on fire... speaking very authoritatively and confidently.    I am sure he wishes he could have ended the speech by telling Trump to f*ck off.   😀

Going by how close it is in the GA governors race there must be more conservative ballots still to count than democrat ones.  Kemp is expected to win by something like 8% and the current number is 3%.  That bodes well for Walker.

I don’t think trump would get re-elected personally. I think Desantis would though.

It depends on who the DNC nomination ends up being.  If they put someone who is far left, I see Trump winning by a slim margin.  If DeSantis gets the nod*, then I think it would be even more incumbent upon the DNC to get a moderate as the nominee as that would be a much tougher fight.

*I honestly would like to see him pull that off, as I am not sure he can... but I would LOVE me some good old Trump tantrums from losing to a Republican

Given where the vote count is at in Kansas, that Governor's race is still a tossup at this point. Kelly may be on track to win a narrow re-election though in a Red State.

It is interesting when you look at the called races in the Congress.   It is 75R and 46D.  The places where a red wave might show up haven't finished or started counting yet.

RI-2 is very likely going to the Dem, VA 10 is going blue. If it was going to be a huge wave those would have probably flipped. We'll see though... Florida was something else.

I hate to bust the bubble of all the reluctant Trump voters (and reluctant Dem voters because, while they would prefer to vote (R), can’t stand Trump) here, but DeSantis is unlikely to be the Trump-killer (metaphorically speaking) many of you wish.

You see, it’s like this: You may not like Trump, but his base thinks he’s GOD. So, for that matter, does Trump himself. And many Republicans and R-leaning voters were willing to hold their noses, grit their teeth, and vote Trump once or twice already.

So suppose the GOP does to Trump what the Dems did to Bernie. Trump isn’t Bernie, and Trump voters aren’t Bernie voters. Instead of reluctantly realizing he doesn’t have a path to the nomination, conceding, and telling his voters to support DeSantis, Trump will throw a tantrum and storm around the country saying “Rigged! Stolen! They stole the presidency from me again!” Then he will run as an independent in all fifty states, split the vote on the right, and ensure the Democrat wins in 2024.

Those who run the GOP know this, and they also know there’s lots of Trump-haters who will hold their nose, grit their teeth, and vote for Trump anyway. So Trump will be the nominee. Sorry.

I say this as someone who would LOOOOOVE to see Trump get flushed for good. Sorry, I don't think DeSantis can flush him.

Polls definitely understated Republican support in FL, but I am not seeing clear signs of the polls being way off in other races.

I think the Dems may hold VA-7, VA-2 may flip. No seats have flipped yet... Or I should say no incumbent has lost yet, I believe the Republicans won Crist's old seat in FL.

Going to quote this for posterity, because if I were to bet money, this is spot on.

Go back to him running in 2016 and how he buzz sawed through all the other candidates.  Now he is a demigod.

Agree with Andrew. First look is a small or maybe medium red wave, not a tsunami. Still early.

Really crazy to see the margins for DeSantis in FL. I hope that gives him a strong hand as he heads into the duke-it-out fight he'll be soon going into with Trump. I wasn't crazy about DeSantis but it's become crystal clear it's either Trump or DeSantis in 2024 and I'll choose the latter any freaking day.

Such a huge victory for DeSantis may shake up Trump a little bit.  He needs to get out pf the way.

I agreed with all of Trump's policies, but not everything he said, nor in the manner of how he did so. DeSantis is exactly what we need. A real leader.
