The coldest it has been this winter is +2° on January 6th and the last time Grand Rapids reached 0° was on March 5th 2015 and the last time it has gotten below zero was on February 28th 2015 and the last time it has gotten -10° or colder was on February 27th 2015. westMJim
With the clear skies, last night, the temperature fell to 14° here at my house (16° officially at the airport) I am now down to 3” snow on the ground here now and as there is now snow at all on the ground south of Michigan I would look for the temperatures to ramp up if we can get a south wind anytime from now on. I am not saying winter is over yet because where we live it can get cold and we can have snow all the way into April. But with the days getting longer and the sun angle getting higher ever day it’s safe to say we should be on the upward trend.
