I'm happy for you guys getting something out of this. Almost our whole subforum has been getting screwjob after screwjob this winter. I'm hoping that some of this earlier than expected change to snow can happen out here. It looks like there's snow trying to fight through the rain on the radar north of MKE. This has been one crazy weather event, it's been fun watching it with you guys, I'm sort of new to all of this.

Snowing like crazy north of lincoln. Ground covered in 20 mins or less. Rates of 2" an hour easy. Lighting and thunder as well

Heck yeah, looks like that will be in Omaha within the hour.

Just had a thunder sleet shower pass by just about 15 minutes ago. Very intense burst of rain that switched over to sleet very quickly, this system has some serious dynamics going for it!

It has begun in Lincoln, huge flakes mixing in as we speak! Ton of lightning and thunder around here, pretty remarkable.

Nice I'm jealous!! Haven't got thunder snow but it's snowing like crazy....easily picked up 2 inches of snow in about an hour or so, i'm thinking this will be a botched prediction by the NWS, I went driving and the visibility is horrible, roads are covered and it's hard to see where the edge is!

Looks like I'm out for the winter, I was so close too. It's too bad, if this was snow we'd be getting pounded here.

I thought this was interesting, I don't know if it's common or not, but it looks like the snow is turning to rain near the rivers. You can see the outlines of the rivers on the radar.
